Dubai Design District D3
Developed by TECOM Group
Waterfront Development
Dubai Design District, commonly known as d3, is a purpose-built creative and business district in Dubai focused on design, fashion, architecture and art. Part of TECOM Group’s portfolio of specialised business districts, d3 is home to international brands, creative studios, offices, galleries, restaurants and major cultural events.
The district is now expanding into a broader mixed-use destination with new residential properties, waterfront neighbourhoods, retail spaces and landscaped public areas. Located between Downtown Dubai and Dubai Creek, the expanded Dubai Design District will provide a place to live, work and experience the city’s growing creative community.
Design, Fashion and Creative Industries
Dubai Design District is a major centre for Dubai’s design, fashion, art and architecture sectors. The d3 business community includes fashion houses, architecture and interior design studios, creative agencies, galleries, retailers and independent designers.
The district also supports emerging talent through in5 Design, which provides specialist facilities for fashion, product design and prototyping. This concentration of established brands, start-ups and creative professionals distinguishes d3 from a conventional business or residential district.
Dubai Design District Master Plan
The Dubai Design District master plan expands the established d3 creative district across 18 million sq. ft., introducing new residential, commercial, retail and cultural spaces beside Dubai Creek.
The Meraas-led expansion is organised into five areas: The Creekside, Design HQ, SOHO, The Sanctuary and The Mindspace. Each area has a distinct role within the wider district, ranging from waterfront residences and family-focused neighbourhoods to creative workspaces, entertainment and public spaces.

Residential Properties at Dubai Design District
Residential properties at Dubai Design District are concentrated within the newer mixed-use areas of d3, extending from the established creative district towards Dubai Creek. Apartments for sale include one- to four-bedroom residences, duplexes and penthouses across developments by Meraas and other private developers.
Most current properties are off-plan, with projects offering access to d3’s offices, restaurants, galleries, events and future waterfront public spaces. Current residential projects vary by location, views, apartment layouts, payment plans and handover dates, with developments available from Meraas and other private developers.
Latest Projects
Dubai Design District includes residential projects by Meraas and Select Group, ranging from the original Design Quarter development to newer towers within the expanded d3 master plan.

Offices and Commercial Spaces at d3
Dubai Design District offers offices, studios, showrooms, co-working spaces and retail units for businesses operating across design, fashion, architecture, art and related creative sectors. Commercial spaces range from flexible workspaces for independent professionals and start-ups to larger offices for established regional and international companies.
The district’s free-zone business environment allows companies to operate alongside creative agencies, designers, retailers and industry events within the same business community.

Lifestyle, Restaurants and Public Spaces
Dubai Design District includes a growing selection of restaurants, cafés, galleries, boutiques and outdoor spaces used by businesses, residents and visitors. Dining and retail venues are concentrated around the established commercial district, with additional lifestyle destinations planned across the new waterfront expansion.
The Block is d3’s main recreational space, offering sports courts, fitness areas, seating and landscaped areas beside Dubai Creek. Public art, pedestrian spaces and changing installations also form an important part of the district’s character.
Events at Dubai Design District
Dubai Design District hosts major events across design, fashion, art and culture. These include Dubai Design Week, Dubai Fashion Week, Downtown Design and Sole DXB, alongside exhibitions, installations, product launches and industry events throughout the year.
The events attract designers, brands, buyers, media and visitors to d3, reinforcing its position as one of Dubai’s principal creative destinations.
Dubai Design District Location
Dubai Design District is located between Downtown Dubai and Dubai Creek, close to Business Bay, Dubai Mall and the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. The district occupies a central position that connects its creative and residential areas with several of Dubai’s main commercial destinations.
d3 has direct road access from Al Khail Road and Ras Al Khor Road, while the D03 bus route provides public transport to and from the district. The new residential expansion extends along the creekfront while remaining connected to the established business and events district.

Developers: TECOM Group and Meraas

Dubai Design District was established by TECOM Group, which operates d3 as one of Dubai’s specialised business districts. TECOM Group continues to oversee the established creative and commercial area, including its offices, studios, retail spaces and business community.
Meraas is leading the new residential and mixed-use expansion of Dubai Design District. Its role includes the wider master plan and residential developments such as Design Quarter, Atélis and The Edit, while other developers are also introducing projects within d3.
